Questions photographers ask first
- Do my clients need an account to see their photos?
- No. You send a link and it opens in their browser — on a phone, from WhatsApp, with nothing to install and no sign-up. If you set a password on the gallery, they type that once and the link remembers them on that device.
- Can I show different families different photos?
- Yes. A guest link has its own web address, its own password and its own subset of the shoot, so the bride's family can be given the eighty photos they are in without seeing the other eight hundred. You can make as many as you need per gallery.
- What resolution do clients actually get?
- The original file, exactly as you uploaded it. Sowarly builds smaller previews for browsing quickly, but a download hands over the untouched original at full resolution, with no watermark and no per-download charge.
- How long does a gallery stay online?
- As long as you keep it. Nothing expires on its own. If you want a gallery to close after a while you can set an expiry date on it yourself, and it stops opening on that date.
- What happens if I cancel or stop paying?
- Your galleries stay online and every link your clients already have keeps working. Your storage allowance returns to the free 1 GB, so new uploads are refused until you are back under it or subscribe again. Nothing is deleted because a payment stopped.
- Where are my photos stored?
- Photo files live in Cloudflare R2 and are served from Cloudflare's edge network, which is why a gallery opens quickly on a phone far from the origin. Account and gallery records live in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in London.
- Is Sowarly available in Arabic?
- Yes, fully — both the pages your clients see and your own dashboard. You can switch between Arabic and English at any time, and the choice is remembered on your device. The whole interface lays out right-to-left in Arabic, and Arabic gallery titles, studio names and filenames display the right way round in either language, which is the part most tools get wrong.
